Our Mechanics provide Service Excellence to our internal customers by repairing company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective and best practice manner.


Main duties to include:

  • Build, rebuild and repair all parts of automotive equipment as requested.

  • Diagnose any mechanical, electrical or other breakdown or failure of a motor, truck or related equipment.

  • Read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, voltmeters, digital multi-meters, calibrators and other electronic diagnostic tools.

  • Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of the component parts and systems on the truck or trailer.

  • When applicable, use welding skills and knowledge of metals to complete repairs.

  • Properly handle hazardous materials.

  • Complete all paperwork and records in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Work as a team with Dispatch and the office staff for the overall success of the drivers and the company.

Generally 1st shift Mon-Fri, with flexibility for some weekend work as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of truck, body and frame repair experience.  (School can account for some but not all.)
  • Must have working knowledge of most of the systems in a truck and trailer.
  • Training and knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Must be able to complete repairs that require bending, twisting, climbing, squatting, balancing, etc.
  • Must be able to move, lift, operator and store specialized equipment like welding equipment, hand tools, shop machines, etc.
  • CDL helpful but not required.
